Welcome to the latest edition of "Making A Difference"! Here's another great issue for you. So, grab yourself a cool drink, get comfy, and take a look at this month's edition with all the great stuff you've become accustomed to.

I Heard You - Now I'll do my best to oblige!

Last month, I asked you to tell me what you wanted and quite a few of you told me. Thank you. Now that I know more about what you'd like me to provide, I'm doing my best to give it to you. I've got a couple things ready for you and some more in the works.

Here are some of the requests that I received from last month's invitation:

So, this month I'm going to start addressing some of these things and, hopefully, you'll find something of value to you.  If I haven't gotten to your particular need yet, rest assured that I will do my best to get to it soon. After all, I'm only one guy and there's only so many hours in a day. So, please bear with me.

Ok, so here's what I've been able to do so far:

Regarding writing more about why we should try to "make a difference", see article one below. It's the first of many installments.

Regarding the issue of what "tools" you really need (versus the countless over-hyped products that every "guru" in the world says you MUST have) to create a super successful home business, you'll find a surprise down below. Not only will I tell you what is really essential, but I'll save you a lot of money too!

Moving on to various "graphics" needs that you might have, I'll tell you that I'm in the process of creating a new site where I will tell you about the products and services I have for you and show you some examples of my work. If you like what you see, you can either hire me to do the graphic work for you or choose to do it yourself by using some of the best and most affordable products available (the very ones I use).

Most exciting of all, I am happy to report that I am also already in the process of laying the foundation for a new web site that will be completely devoted to explaining how the latest discoveries in Quantum Physics are the key to understanding "reality" and how YOU can benefit mightily by becoming aware of them and by beginning to incorporate the teachings into your overall belief system. The power that is available to you to affect your life experience is awesome. It's time to start learning how to use it to create the kind of life you've always wanted.

The answers to your most complex questions are now within your reach. Stay tuned for more. I have a good friend (that I met on the Internet) who is chomping at the bit to work on this with me, so we should be able to get it rolling more quickly than if I were to try doing it all myself. Ahhh, the beauty of the Internet and how it allows you to find new friends that you might never have met otherwise. Don't you just love this technology? I sure do. I've met some great people because of it!

Why Should We Do What We Can To "Make A Difference?

The other day, one of my readers asked me why it should be up to us to try to make a difference in the world. It’s a fair question. After all, most people don’t worry about it. Why should we care?

My answer is this:

Because it’s the right thing to do – AND because this world needs us to help awaken the people to the fact that things are very wrong - AND, most importantly, because we CAN.

The simple fact is that there’s enough wealth on this planet to allow every single person to live like a king (or queen) and yet most people are not happy and a high percentage of the world’s population is living at, or below, the poverty level. Why? Because people don’t understand that they are being manipulated and “programmed” by the few who are in positions of real power.

The vast majority of the world’s population is kept so busy just trying to make it from one day to the next that the people don’t have the time or energy to even begin to wonder whether there’s a better way to live, even though many intuitively know that there must be.

That’s just the way the few who are in positions of real power like it. They want the masses to be kept in the dark. That’s how they can remain in power. The last thing they want is an awakened public that will start holding them accountable. That’s why they utilize the media to distort the truth and keep the common people in the dark.

Do you still watch the “news” on television? Do you still read the major “newspapers” and news magazines? If so, ask yourself these questions:

Are the “main” stories, the “headline” stories, EVER of a positive nature? Answer: No, Not Ever!

What percentage of the “news” stories presented by the traditional media are basically negative in nature? Answer: At least 95% - more like 98% or more.

Do you really believe that being bombarded with all this negativity has no effect on your subconscious mind? Do you really think that it has no influence on your “belief” system?

Answer: Not only does it “program” your subconscious mind and shape your belief system, it literally “creates” the reality you experience. Quantum physics proves it. But, how many people even know what quantum physics is? Not many. And, because of that, things are getting worse!

So, getting back to the original question of why should we care about “making a difference”, I propose this simple plan:

Since the Internet and World Wide Web has provided us with a media tool every bit as powerful as the television or newspaper, let’s use it to get the truth out to people. Every individual that we can provide new information to that will help improve their lives in some way will, in turn, share that information with someone else (it’s human nature) and, eventually, more and more lives can be changed for the better and that means that the masses will begin to awaken.

And, when that begins to happen, the world will change for the better and we can know that we played a part in that awakening and we can experience the wonderful feelings of satisfaction and enjoyment that come naturally from knowing that we “made a difference” in the world. Isn’t that reason enough?

Here is a quote that I like which seems to fit with the theme of the article. So, I thought I'd share it with you. It's credited to Martha Graham:

“There is a vitality, a life force that is translated through you into action. And because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”

Let’s take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity we have to reach so many others and do our best to "make a difference" by doing work that brings us joy and that just might change the world.

Finding the Right Business For YOU!

If you think that starting your own business is the answer to your biggest problem; whether it's money, child care, illness, a desire for more free time,  or anything else - then you MUST choose wisely. 

Too many individuals eagerly leave their paying jobs in order to pursue their own business - only to return to the unemployment arena looking for work and carrying a massive debt from their ventures. I know - it happened to me.

How can you find the answer to your quest for self-employment without failing? Here are three important factors:

1. DESIRE 
2. DISCRETION 
3. DISCIPLINE 

DESIRE ---- 

If you think that running your own business is merely a matter of using your brains, then you are sure to be disappointed. All successful entrepreneurs have a common trait - no matter if they run the run a country gas station or a Fortune 500 company - DESIRE. If you don't have the drive and determination to work for yourself - if you can't give up the security of a regular pay check - you will have great difficulty working for yourself. 

DISCRETION ---- 

Expect to fail. There are many opportunities available. Some are good, some are frauds and some are absolutely perfect - for YOU. Each individual's strengths and talents will dictate which business model will suit them best. If you are very shy or hate to talk to people, then it would be wise to stay away from businesses that require a lot of face-to-face selling. If the product is not something you would personally use, it is not something you will want to promote - and that will show in your efforts. 

Take stock of your abilities and interests and try several businesses that are related. Not all will suit you, but trying different things will ultimately improve your  overall business skills. If you do fall for what turns out to be a fraud, consider it an education and move on - you will not likely make the same mistake again. 

Consider talking to business owners who do what you want to do or to people who may use your product or service. Research the business and read the fine print! 

DISCIPLINE ---- 

When you're in business for yourself, you don't have a boss or a time clock. But, if you expect to make a living, then you will have to discipline yourself. Have a schedule or routine that you follow every day. Plan your time wisely.

Although many procrastinators actually do well working for themselves, it is still vitally important to know what needs to be done and to have the discipline to follow through. A few bad jobs or unhappy customers can have a lasting impact on your business. 

Many have found great happiness and success working for themselves. Enjoy the search and find YOUR perfect business!
