It's Time To Show What We Can Do!

I'm late again with this issue, but I have a very good reason. I have been devoting the bulk of my time working on a number of things that will make your efforts far more satisfying, successful and profitable.  

This month, I'd like to give you a quick glimpse into some of the things that I've been working on that could help you greatly in your quest to "Make A Difference" in the world by improving the quality of your life experience and by providing you with information and "tools" that will allow you to help others. If you have a specific need, don't hesitate to let me know about it. I may just be able to provide some assistance. That's what I enjoy doing. So, speak up.

When I was a child, television had just come out and there was a TV show that I loved watching called "The Millionaire". It was the story of a fictional character named John Beresford Tipton, who was a multi-billionaire who wanted to be able to help good people (that he had never met personally) who had fallen on hard times, for whatever reason, to rebuild their lives. 

The show was all about how he would send his associate, who was named Michael Anthony, to deliver a tax-free cashier's check for one million dollars to the person he had selected to be the recipient and how those people would react to the sudden change of fortune in their lives. 

It was truly fascinating to see how differently the people reacted. Some would be grateful, some would be angry at first - thinking that Michael Anthony was playing a cruel joke on them. The show would go on with how the recipients used their new-found wealth. Sometimes things worked out great. Sometimes they didn't. There was always a "lesson to be learned" from the experience of the recipients and it showed a lot about the complexity of the human psyche.

I always thought that it would be the greatest thing in the world to be able to live the life of a rich man and to use my wealth to help change lives for the better. Unfortunately, my soul had a different plan for me and I never became a billionaire. But, with the development of the Internet and World Wide Web, I am able to help people and so are you. We all have the power at our disposal to truly "make a difference" in the lives of others. We can have very different ideas about how we want to use this power, but it's there for us to use and that is a wonderful thing.

Because of this wonderful technology, I have been able to help quite a few people. But I want to do more - a lot more. And, I can't accomplish everything that I would like by myself. So, if you, like me, feel a stirring in your soul to help others, I'm going to make you an offer that I would like you to seriously consider.

I've been preparing for this for quite a while. Here's the deal. I want to find 50 people who sincerely want to make a difference in the world and have them join me in a grand joint-venture or "partnership". How To Position Yourself For Success ...

As I've been preaching for years, the world we live in is being dramatically changed by a number of factors and no where is that change being felt more directly by most of us than in the workplace. The job marketplace is radically shrinking. In the United States, it's no longer enough to be a good worker if you want to keep your job. We are quickly becoming a "Free Agent" society. 

There were a lot of people hurt as we made the transition from the industrial age to the information age. Jobs were eliminated as computers started being used to perform tasks that previously were done manually. Many people were forced to "start over" by learning new technical skills in order to be able to remain "employable". Often this involved taking severe cuts in pay and starting at the bottom of the salary chain again. 

But, unlike the industrial age, the information age did not stay around for multiple generations. People didn't have the luxury of settling into long-term careers once they had mastered the new skills needed for the new jobs. Technology progressed so rapidly that those skills were quickly out-dated and needed to be continually added to and improved upon in order to stay "current". 

Now, the information age has already been replaced. Today, we find ourselves in the middle of the shift from the information age to the knowledge age. 

In the new knowledge age, corporations continue to downsize - thus eliminating more and more jobs. Soon, even the largest corporations will only contain a small number of employees who comprise the "core" group that is responsible for having the business and industry knowledge that is needed to oversee operations and make strategic decisions. All other work will be performed by project teams directed and headed by the "core group" of employees. The project teams will be comprised of "Free Agents" who are consultants, contractors and other types of temporary workers who only come together for the duration of the project. Once the project is completed, these temporary "teams" are disbanded, leaving only the small core group at the company.

People will need a lot of help keeping their knowledge and skills marketable and they will also need help dealing with all the necessary daily tasks outside of work. They will want to be able to quickly gain access to good information that will help them obtain the knowledge they need to deal with their rapidly changing life and fluctuating income. 

By knowing this, you can position yourself so that you do not have to deal with such changes in the marketplace. You can build an Internet-based home business that will provide these people with the knowledge they need and that will provide you with the financial security you need to maintain the lifestyle of your choice.

There are many great opportunities available to you, but you must educate yourself so that you do not fall prey to the scams and false promises that are thrown your way by the Internet predators whose only goal is to get you to part with your money and who could care less whether you are receiving true value for it in return.

I hope that you know that I will never intentionally steer you wrong. I hope that you see from the free information and products I provide that I truly do want to help you in your quest to gain the wisdom, knowledge and financial resources that will allow you to remain unaffected by whatever unexpected turns the workplace or the economy may take.

If you have not already done so, you must begin to build a solid financial generator that allows you to tap into the global marketplace. You must develop multiple streams of income so that you are not putting yourself at risk should your primary business market take a turn for the worse. If you can do that, then you are placing yourself above the winds of change. I will help you in any way I can - if you will let me. Starting An Online Business from Scratch 

(Part 2)

One advantage of doing business online is that you can start from scratch without investing a ton of money. Not sure how to begin? In the previous issue of this newsletter, we presented the first 10 steps that would help you get started. If you missed it, just go to the ezine archives section of the website and you can read all about it. Here are the second 10 steps of a 30 Step Action Plan to keep you on course ...

11.  Build an extensive keyword list based on the initial list of keywords you developed. Use Overture.com . For each keyword on the initial list, Overture can help you find different combinations with other words that you may find interesting. Check the popularity of each term and write down on a spreadsheet your final keyword list.

12. Submit those keywords to Overture.com to start driving traffic right away. You need to start driving some traffic immediately in order to test your web site. The best way to do that is to buy this traffic at overture.com.

13. Optimize and submit your web site to organic search engines (Google, Altavista, etc...). Once you have proved that your web site works and sells, you will be ready to make the business bigger. It is then time to start working on building free traffic to your site.

14. Continue to test and tweak your web site until target conversion rate is met. Your conversion ratio should be that 1-2% of your visitors should buy from your web site, and 11% should subscribe to your newsletter. Continue testing until you get those stats.

15. Set up an affiliate program on your web site. Affiliate programs can double your business with no additional effort. Others will make the job easier for you. But you cannot set up an affiliate program before you are sure that your web site can produce results. If your site does not work, you will lose your affiliates and they will never come back to you again.

16. Approach complimentary web sites to sign up as affiliates to promote your product. Get in contact with people that can promote your product and ask them to be your affiliates. Just try to find your first 100 affiliates, and your affiliate list will boom alone.

17. Start publishing a quality monthly newsletter. You have started collecting e-mail addresses much earlier, but it is not the time to start working the newsletter until you can prove that everything else works.

18. Submit articles to related newsletters and e-zines on a regular basis. In the articles, you should always include a link to your site, so that you can gain more name recognition, get more traffic and can get more people signing up for your newsletter.

If you don't have the time to do a lot of writing, or if you think that your writing is not "polished" enough, you can obtain very good "private label" articles that you simply make a few modifications to in order to make them uniquely yours and your problem is solved. 19. Continue the development of a content rich web site to further increase search engine rankings. Search engines love content. You must have many web sites which are rich on your keywords and which have links to your main page. A good way to do this is to add as many articles as you can related to your business and link them to your home page.

As we stated in step 18 above, there are excellent "private label" articles available that will fit nicely with your web site theme. There are also powerful software programs available to assist you with creating your article pages and submitting them to search engines. 20. Once keywords have been tested in Overture, roll them out in Google Adwords. It works similar to Overture, you bid for traffic. But do not go to Google Adwords first. You must first prove your success with Overture and then go to Google Adwords. There are a lot of good ebooks available to help you learn how to maximize your Google advertising activities.

Note: Google also has an Adsense program that can allow you to generate additional traffic and actually make money simply by placing a little extra code in your existing content-rich web pages. I'll explain much more about this in future issues of this newsletter.
